According to the head of the Ministry of Energy, everything will depend on how much Ukraine will be able to recover after Russian attacks.
“The faster it is possible to restore objects, the less imports are needed,” said Grinchuk.
The minister said that the Ukrainian side held a meeting with the ambassadors of the G7 in Ukraine, and earlier – meetings with partners from different countries with the involvement of the European Commission.
“And one of the questions was indeed the need for additional import of gas. […] We also discussed the expansion of loans under the guarantees of the European Commission, and with some countries – the possibility of providing a grant basis with gas imports, ”Grinchuk emphasized.
In August, Grinchuk reported that Ukraine should accumulate 13.2 billion cubic meters of gas at the beginning of the heating season, 4.6 billion cubic meters of which are imported. In early October, Naftogaz Ukrainian was informed in early October that a group of gas pumping in the PHG approved by the government was 95–97%, wrote “Interfax-Ukraine”.
