George Buricea received from the Disciplinary Commission of FRH a suspension of six games and a fine of 5,000 lei. These sanctions were granted for the “sudden player”. The suspension of 6 stages is the maximum one that has been granted so far in such situations, and the fine is greater than the maximum granted so far.

The sanction of 6 games will enter into force on October 8, more precisely from the duel with CSM Constanța. Thus, Buricea will not sit on the bench in the duels with Constanta, with “U” Cluj, Buzău, Dinamo Bucharest, CSM Sighișoara and Potaissa Turda.

The fine of 5000 lei must be paid by George Buricea until November 6.

The case George Buricea – Zoran Nikolic, in short

• In the 25th minute of the match in Vaslui, at the Bank of the Guests, there was an altercation between Buricea and Nikolic, and the technician was strongly pushed into his student.

• At the end of the match, in a statement for GSP.ro, Buricea explained that the lit discussion with Nikolic began after he was standing, risking that the team would take an elimination at the bank and, after drawing his attention, commented. The national team of the national transmitted that Nikolic apologized later, and he could have managed the situation more calmly.

• The following day, the Romanian Handball Federation issued a large press release, announcing that it has submitted the case to the Disciplinary Commission, along with all existing evidence, including video recordings and existing reports, and that if it will prove unsportsmanlike behavior, it will apply clear sanctions.

• Later, GSP.ro announced that, for similar cases, the Central Disciplinary Commission (CCD) has sanctioned some handball coaches with suspension between 4-6 stages, but also with a fine between 1000-4000 lei. Buricea's case will be analyzed on Tuesday 7 October
