The PAS leader emphasized that there were interference in the electoral process by criminal groups supported by the Russian Federation, but urged calm and patience until the votes were completed.
“Russia's attempts to hijack the electoral process were huge – I saw illegal transport, voting theft, destabilization attempts, bomb alarms. State institutions have made every effort to ensure the security and integrity of the voting process. The consequences of this interference are difficult to estimate at this time.”Grosu said.
The PAS president addressed the Moldovans from the Diaspora, reminding them that the Western polling stations are still open.
“Take advantage of these hours to exercise your right to vote and to contribute to modeling the future of the Republic of Moldova. Each vote matters”, added Grosu.
At the same time, he sent a message to the members of the polling stations offices, requesting vigilance until the sections are closed and throughout the voting counting process.
“It is essential that every stage of the election will take place correctly, transparent and without incident, and your responsibility at this time is extremely important for the whole country,” concluded the leader step.
