In the opinion of the Supreme Court Work Chamber, the courts who will be sent to the sentences issued by the Extraordinary Control Chamber, have the right to independently examine extraordinary complaints. This means that the judgments issued by this chamber can be treated as non -binding, which raises questions about the stability of the legal system in Poland.
The Extraordinary Control Chamber is a relatively new body, created in 2018 as part of the reforms of the justice system carried out by the Law and Justice government. The chamber consists of only the so -called Neos, or lawyers recommended by the National Council of the Judiciary, which was considered unconstitutional and politicized.
However, the criticism of the Extraordinary Control Chamber is not limited to the national yard. The most important European tribunals also found this authority illegal, which further undermines its credibility on the international arena.
