Not here and not now I imagined that the season will end …
I spent my whole life dreaming of the Olympic Games. My target, from the moment I started skiing, was to participate in these games, Beijing was just an unexpected bonus.

I am destroyed when I think I miss the chance to represent Canada at the highest level. I feel that I have lost the opportunity to show them why the sport I love deserves more recognition. I feel like I'm disappointing my community, my people and, the worst, myself.

I mean, my road has not ended, but it is heartbreaking to go through this challenge in an Olympic year. However, as my year takes another direction, I plan to make room for other important things for me, such as spending more time and working with @skijumping_candevo, while these wonderful Canadians learn to fly in international competitions.

I must say how grateful I am for all the love and support received from the family of skis … especially my colleagues, coaches and staff from @skijumping_canada @teamcanada @otpcanada. Also, I cannot express how lucky they are that @schofenig_airlines and @ski_austria_skisprgen have made sure that I receive the help I need to be over 8,000 km from home. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

Canadian Alexandria Loutitt – impressive career at just 21
