“I have treated tens of thousands of people in my professional career. From seniors for over 90 years. But I have never used paracetamol. Science? Maybe. Intuition, sure,” wrote the doctor on Tuesday night, on his Facebook page.
The posting of Flavia Groșan has so far collected over 2,000 reactions, of which 1.7 thousand likes and over 300 hearts.
The message was published the day after Donald Trump publicly indicated paracetamol as a cause of autism, information from medical communities. In fact, the European Medicines Agency, the institution that authorizes the use of medicines in Europe, has transmitted an official message announcing that paracetamol can be safely administered to women during pregnancy.
“Our advice is based on a rigorous evaluation of available scientific data and we have not found any evidence that the administration of paracetamol during pregnancy causes autism in children,” said Steffen Thirstrup, the medical director of the European Medicines Agency, quoted in a statement of the institution.

Flaviei Groșan is disciplined by the Bihor College of Physicians, being accused of “Fake News Medical” after a month ago he wrote in a Facebook post of having an anti-Covid unvaccinated patient who had serious symptoms, including chest pain and “mental fog”, following intimate contact with his partner.
The institution that investigates it says that the investigation initiated in August “is in progress, is at the jurisdiction commission of the Bihor College.”
“We are waiting for the point of view of the specialized referent and the doctor. This is how the status, the operating regulations,” says, in a dialogue with Hotnews, Dr. Carmen Pantiș, the president of the Bihor College.

Asked what sanctions Flavia Groșan risks following the current disciplinary research, Carmen Pantiș indicated the provisions of the Statute of the Medical College: reprimand, warning, blame, fine from 100 lei to 1,500 lei, the prohibition to exercise the profession or certain medical activities for a period from one month to one year or withdraw the quality of the Romanian medical quality.
“It is not at the first offense, and the sanction will be severe”
A month ago, at the launch of the disciplinary research of Flavia Groșan, Carmen Pantiș said, in a dialogue with Hotnews, that “it is inadmissible what erroneous information he posted”.
She explains then that disciplinary research can end in “two to three months”.
The head of the Bihor College of Physicians also spoke of a “severe sanction”. “The disciplinary commission has autonomy towards the territorial college and will analyze the case based on the legislation in force. It is not at the first deviation, and the sanction will be severe.”
