Trump and XI Jinping telephone conversation. The leaders raised the end of the war in Ukraine
This is the third direct telephone conversation between the 11th and Trump from the beginning of the second term of the President of the United States. Before the interview, according to the American side, its main goal is to finalize the Framework Agreement regarding the Tiktok application and discuss the extension of the contract on lower duties.
Indeed, these topics were raised, but as Donald Trump said on the Truth Social platform, the leaders also talked about the end of the war in Ukraine.
“I just finished a very fruitful telephone conversation with the President of China XI Jinping. We have made progress in many very important issues, including trade, fentanyl, the need to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and approval of the Tiktok agreement,” wrote the US President.
Donald Trump announced that he would meet XI Jinping at the APEC summit in South Korea, and at the beginning of next year he would go to China. He also reported that China's leader would also visit the United States.
“The conversation was very successful, we will talk again on the phone, I appreciate the approval of the Tiktok contract and we both are looking forward to the meeting at the APEC summit!” – concluded Trump.
