Europe is becoming a continent that cannot be ruled, because it is struggling with an adverse combination of tense budgets, slow administration, political fragrance, vigorous opposition from extreme political groups and social unrest – Bloomberg's agency assessed on Thursday.

As a result, according to the agency, the powerlessness of the authorities becomes the norm in Europe, and public opinion research shows that in Germany, France and Great Britain in the next election, power can take over the forces of the extreme right.
The weakened continent is increasingly susceptible to the whims of global regimes or strong leaders – from the Russian leader of Vladimir Putin, by US President Donald Trump, to the leader of China Xi Jinping – using the weakness of other players.
– I am rather a pessimist – commented the director of the Political Sciences Department at the Roman University of Luissa Giovanni Orsina. – The world has changed, and Europe no longer fits the puzzle.
Bloomberg emphasized that in European countries a consensus weakened or collapsed as to how to share income during poor economic growth. The dispute is fueled by the extreme left and the right, claiming that the problem is either better off or immigrants. Added to this is the aging of the society, which means that every country based on the public pension system faces difficult decisions.
Bloomberg mentions France, in which the prime minister changed for the fifth time in two years, Great Britain, where the ruling labor party lost support, and the extreme right led to the greatest demonstration in London. Compared to these two countries, Germans have a much smaller debt, but in the coalition of Chancellor Friedrich Merz, which was created after a modest election victory in February, there are already cracks – the agency emphasized. The far -right AFD is currently the main opposition party and will fight CDU Merza for victory.
In Spain, the socialist coalition of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez remained with power only thanks to the controversial alliance with the Catalan separatists – emphasized Bloomberg. In Italy, the premiere of Giorgia Meloni must deal with the arguments of coalition partners and is struggling with the huge debt of the country. As many as 15 parties sit in the Dutch parliament, it took over half a year in Belgium.
In Poland, the second year of the rule of Prime Minister Donald Tusk disrupted the shocking election victory of Karol Nawrocki's “nationalist outsider”, who – already as president – can veto attempts to reduce one of the largest budget deficits in the EU.
The European Union also faces the challenges arising from its character – said Bloomberg. While her rights and principles supported the economic growth of the continent, her decision -making processes run slowly and often require consensus – the agency noted.
Collective powerless rule born by crushed democracy is a life opportunity for Putin, whose recent drone attacks on Poland and Romania indicate the desire to test the weaknesses of neighbors Bloomberg warned, noticing that China tried to break up the EU unity, looking for alliances with countries such as Spain, and Trump's trade agreement with the Union showed that he perceives Europe transactionally, treating it as a source of resources that you can reach for.
European leaders are increasingly reminiscent of monarchs who perform ceremonial functions, but are deprived of the possibility of actual governance – summed up Bloomberg. (PAP)
