Lucian Catrinoiu, Călin Georgescu's lawyer, criticized the indictment prepared by the prosecutors from the General Prosecutor's Office, in the file in which the former candidate for the presidency was sent to court, being accused of complicity in the attempt to commit some actions against the Constitutional Order. “An indictment simulacrum,” says the defender, who claims that the accusations are unfounded.
“An indictment simulacrum, which will be abolished by justice, because, not to forget, the justice is carried out by the High Court of Cassation and Justice, as well as by the other courts,” the lawyer said, in an intervention at Realitatea Plus.
The lawyer also believes that the courts will demonstrate the lack of sound of the indictment. The process is to continue with the analysis of the evidence and the legality of the referral document, said Lucian Catrinoiu.
The prosecutor's accusations
Previously during the day of Monday, Călin Georgescu, winner of the first round of the presidential elections of 2024, canceled on December 6 by the Constitutional Court, was sent to court by the General Prosecutor's Office for complicity in committing actions against the constitutional order and the communication of false information, in continuous form.
