City and United started modestly new season
The two great forces of Manchester suffer in this season's debut.
Although they won at the first stage Molineux Stadium, 4-0 in front of Wolverhampton, appearing to have passed the oscillating period they crossed in the previous season, the “citizens” gave up all the points in the next two parties.
The first failure was suffered right in front of their supporters, 0-2 with Tottenham, followed by the defeat from Brighton, score 1-2, in a match where City drove 1-0.
Thus, after the first stages, Pep Guardiola's band only takes 16th in the standings, being equal points with West Ham United (3), the first team below the line.
On the other hand, the “red devils” started the new internal campaign with a border defeat on “Old Trafford”, 0-1 in the derby with Arsenal, but the team fans were confident, because the game provided by Ruben Amorim was extremely solid.
Then followed two matches that deeply disappointed the supporters, namely the draw on Craven Cottage with Fulham, score 1-1, respectively the shameful failure of the League Cup in front of Grimsby Town, a team from the fourth echelon of English football, at the break (2-2 after 90 minutes).
However, in the last championship duel, United managed to break the ice. Today's guests were imposed on their own land in front of the newly promoted Burnley, score 3-2, and at this moment, the “devils” ranks 11th in the Premier League, with four points.
