“I just talked by phone with US President Donald Trump about the multiple violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones, which took place tonight. The conversation is part of a series of consultations I conducted with our allies.

The head of the Chancellery of President Zbigniew Bogucki said earlier on Wednesday at Polsat News that this is the fourth conversation of this type – after two teleconferences in a wider group, which took place before the meeting and after the meeting of Trump with Vladimir Putin in Alaska and after the September visit of Nawrocki in the United States.

Before both leaders had a conversation, Trump published an entry on his Truth Social portal, in which, referring to violating Polish aircraft, he wrote: “What is the Russia, violating Poland's airspace with drones? It begins!”

At night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by Russian drones. In the army's opinion, it was a “act of aggression” and “unprecedented event”, which created a real threat to the safety of citizens.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that there were 19 airspace exceeded, and the drones also arrived from Belarus. He added that at night the first time was shot down by Russian drones over the territory of the NATO state. The head of government also informed that in his conversations, among others He accepted not only Solidarity with Poland with the President of France, German Chancellor and NATO Secretary General, but above all proposals for specific air defense support of our country.

Leaders from around the world responded to the event; There were numerous talks at various levels of the authorities. At the request of Poland, consultations were held under art. 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Art. 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty states that “the parties will consult together, whenever any of them, territorial integrity, political independence or security of either party will be threatened.”

In connection with the violation of the Polish airspace, Charge d'Affaires of the Russian embassy in Warsaw was given a protest note. – We are dealing with an unprecedented case of attack not only in Poland, but also NATO and the EU – emphasized the deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski.
