In a post on social networks, Adrian Căciu draws attention to a so-called “surprise“Regarding the budget and fiscal situation of Romania, which a hypocritical narrative considers it.”I notice that the hypocritical narrative of the «surprise» regarding the fiscal-budget situation of Romania. However, public documents (…) are very clear: Romania chose to reduce the budget deficit over a period of 7) ”.

He recalls that the fiscal plan includes a series of reforms, including a tax reform in a gross amount of 1.37% of GDP for 2025, ie about 26.2 billion lei: “Remember: 26.2 billion lei from taxes!

Political responsibilities and PNRR

Căciu emphasizes the political responsibilities of the moment: “When the European Commission accepted the Budget Fiscal Plan of Romania, PNL president was Mr. Ilie Bolojan. Even if they weren't, I guess that knew all the financial data from Mr. Bolospromoted in all governments by Mr. Bolojan. Oh, yes, the first vice-president PNL was Mr. Ciucu. Both knew that in 2025 the fiscal reform will be needed, part of the request for payment number 4 of the PNRR ”.

The PSD deputy also asks critical questions about the role of PNL parliamentarians in approval of the budget: “Who was the president of the Senate and voted the budget? If there were no expenses, if the income was not correct, why did not punch in the mass? Who runs the Finance budget committees from the two Houses of Parliament? PNL, somehow? ”

Investments, deficit and political hypocrisy

In his opinion, the budget was not “badly done“, But rather the situation is complicated by the refusal of some politicians to support the investments:”Although the primary deficit is much smaller than the investments, fiscal consolidation measures (…) had to be taken in order to have money to support investments. However, only hypocrisy and lie remained! ”

Căciu concludes the posting with a call to responsibility and an optimistic message about Romania's status: “Come on, success! History proves to us that no leader who drove a country has led to the urge: «Come on, we die!» PS: Romania is still good. Some try to destroy it, but! This is unacceptable!
