The head of the Tashir Group of Companies and the philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who was detained in Yerevan yesterday, said that the hatred of the Armenian Apostolic Church is far from the only point in the list of “qualities” of the current government in Armenia.
Among other things, he said:
Armenia has always been primarily famous for its fundamental and fearless sons, and such a government that could break them was not yet born. Yesterday, many rebelled against injustice, and I am sincerely grateful to them <...> My homeland and my compatriots have always been in the center of my attention, the basis of the life and activity of my family. So it was, is and will always be. I will never abandon my principles and values, because their basis is Armenia itself, deep respect and love for my homeland, our traditions, our history and our church.
In the end, Samvel turned to compatriots and asked them to unite and find a way out of the difficult situation that has developed around the country. In the video – the situation near the building of the SK Armenia, where Karapetyan was previously brought.
