The President of Poland invited to Thursday talks in the Belvedere of Lithuania Gitanas Naeda, President of Estonia Alara Karis, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkeviczs and Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederixen. The meeting was an element of wider consultations before the visit of Karol Nawrocki on September 3 to Washington.
“The theme of the meeting is security in the Baltic Sea region and the issues of Russian aggression on Ukraine and the state of peace conversations under the leadership of President Donald Trump,” the president's office informed.

In the second part, the President of Ukraine joined the meeting leaders in the form of a video call.
“Thank you to Karol Nawrocki for conducting an important meeting. It was a valuable opportunity to synchronize our positions against large diplomatic events. It is extremely important that we maintain a constant coordination, working side by side, so that the common European position is clearly heard in Washington” – wrote Wołodymyr Zełnski later in the Telegram.

“We are also deeply saddened with the news about the disaster with the participation of the F-16 fighter, in which the Polish pilot died. Our hearts are with his family and close to the fallen”-emphasized Zelanski.
The President of Ukraine also thanked President Nawrocki for the words of support and sincere condolences in connection with the Russian attack on Kiev at night from Wednesday to Thursday. “Our strength lies in our unity. We are pleased that our position is common: to achieve peace, we need to put more pressure on Russia,” he emphasized.
The Ukrainian leader pointed out that the sanctions are effective and must remain on the table. “The refusal of Moscow to participate in a meeting in the format of leaders should meet a clear answer in the form of specific decisions,” he said.
The head of the International Policy Office at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Marcin, after the meeting of President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw with the leaders of the Baltic States, stated that Russia is responsible for aggression at Ukraine and Russia must feel the strength of the United West – Europe and the United States.
