Petro Poroshenko in fact lost the court on the distribution of property on the claim of his wife Marina. The court in Vinnytsia region closed the proceedings in this case and thus did not allow the couple to bypass sanctions.
“To close the proceedings in the case of the absence of the subject of the dispute,” – said in a court order, writes UNIAN. And repeated appeals to the court for the same reason and between the same parties are not allowed.
The Court attached information from the Ministry of Justice of Progance, introduced to Poroshenko. And his lawyer acknowledged that this court case was related to the imposition of sanctions.
We will remind, in February 2025 to a number of oligarchs, including Poroshenko, sanctions were imposed.
In March, Maryna Poroshenko filed a lawsuit for the separation of property worth more than UAH 17.1 billion (almost one half billion dollars). She demanded to return the works of Russian artists, as well as to judge the shares of PJSC “Znkif” Prime Essets Capital “and other property of her husband.
The experts regarded her claim as an attempt to bypass the law and withdraw assets from sanctions. And they noted that Poroshenki was at risk of fraud, as they try to divide property without a real dispute.
