The US President Donald Trump said Monday that he would like to meet with North Korea leader, communist dictator Kim Jong Un, this year, Reuters reports.
While addressing reporters in the Oval Office before a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Lee Myung at the White House, Donald Trump said:
“I have a very good relationship. I understand them. I spent a lot of free time with them, talking about things that we probably shouldn't talk about. And you know, I simply understand it very well. I think it has a country with great potential, an extraordinary potential.”
Asked if he wants to meet Kim Jong this year or next year, Trump replied: “Well, I meet a lot of people. I mean, it's hard to say, but I would like to meet him this year.”
