Daniil Medvedev has been eliminated from the first round at the US Open by French Benjamin Bonzi (2-3 at sets). Throughout the entire match, the Russian tennis played as a man who was out of control, slammed his rocket, quarreled with the public, the referee, a photographer and, of course, at the end of the match he was destroyed. Both because of defeat and huge energy consumption.

However, the unexpected defeat not only affected Daniil, but also his wife, Daria Medvedeva.

At the times when Bonzi gave Medvedev's final blow, and he was destroying his rocket with anger, the rooms surprised Daria, disappointed and her head left.

Medvedev finally gave up after an intense fight, and Daria seems to have left the stands before the end of the match.

How did Medvedev quarrel with the photographer?

One of the most unusual scenes from the US Open took place when the Russian was on the verge of elimination.

At the score of 2-0 at the sets for bonzi and the match ball, the situation completely escaped under control-a photographer entered the field unexpectedly between the first and second service, which led to an interruption and a controversial decision of the main referee, Greg Allensworth, to give the French a new first service. This decision angered Medvedev, who commented ironically:

What did Reilly Opelka say? The referee is paid at the match, not at the time. The referee wants to go home!

There followed a wave of whistles and noise from the stands, mixed with numerous applause after Daniil Medvedev's nervous exit. So much so that Bonzi could not serve for a few minutes, until the audience calmed down. When he finally succeeded, he was so taken out of the rhythm that the Russian took the service, then two more sets and equalized at 2-2.
