Termoenergetica estimates that on Wednesday, at 23:00, the repair work will be completed following the major damage that occurred in the Splaiul Unirii area and left half Bucharest without hot water. The first term, advanced on Sunday when the damage occurred was during the night from Monday to Tuesday.

More than half of the blocks in Bucharest no longer have hot water on Sunday night due to a major damage produced at a district heating bus from Mihai Bravu's intersection with Splaiul Unirii, under the Mihai Bravu Bridge, which forced the CET Progress, for safety reasons.

On Tuesday morning, the network that feeds sectors 2 and 3 from CET Progresu started, the Municipal Company on Facebook began.

“The affected pipe section of about 1 km was isolated and then sectioned in two intervention areas, to allow the repairs of the step. During the past night, four teams completed the repairs to two damage on the DN 800mm pipe and another, on the DN 1000mm pipe,” explained thermoergetica.

The estimated deadline for completing all the works is Wednesday, 11:00 pm, as CET Progress Reboot must be met certain technical conditions.

“It is important to emphasize that for CET Progresu restart it is necessary to fulfill the technical operating minimum, respectively 60 Gcal and a flow of 1,500 t/h. We apologize for the created discomfort and we assure you that our teams are permanently mobilized to resume the supply of the thermal agent in safe conditions in the shortest time,”

According to the Termo Alert application, currently the supply of hot water is stopped at 5,199 buildings in the Capital, representing 56% of the total.
