Thomas Callam Phillips disappeared with his children in December 2021, and despite several reports, help calls and a police investigation, their location remains unknown, writes CNN.

The police are extremely worried for children – Ember, Maverick and Jayda – who would be 9, 10 and 12 years old respectively, and who have had no contact with their mother since the father did not bring him home.

In her first interview since her brother's disappearance, Pozzi Phillips told the New Zealand journalist Paddy Gower how much she lacks and how much she wants him to return.

I miss you and the fact that I was part of your life“She said in a trembling voice.

Rozzi Phillips also read a letter written by their mother, addressed to the missing son, who is now sought by the police for several crimes.

It hurts me every time I see photos with the children and you and when I see your things that are still here, thinking what it could have been if you hadn't left.

Jayda, Maverick, Ember, I love you so much and I am missing to be part of your lives every day I wake up. I hope today is the day you will come back”, Wrote the mother, according to the New Zealand news site.

It is not clear whether family calls will reach Phillips, which the New Zealand police think he lives outside the network, using their survival skills to feed, shelter and wear children.

In June last year, the police offered a reward for 80,000 New Zealand dollars (52,000 US dollars) for information to find and return them safely.

Phillips is sought for a series of alleged crimes, including the armed robbery of a bank in May 2023, when two people were caught by the surveillance cameras running on a money motorcycle.

Later, the police identified Phillips as a suspect, saying it was helped by a accomplice. They were both armed.

In November 2023, Phillips and an unidentified child would break the window of a store at 2 in the morning, before running on a stolen ATV. Phillips was also seen on surveillance cameras, with covered face, buying supplies from a DIY store.

“We know that Tom was seen in several commercial locations in the Waikato region, disguised with various masks”The police said at that time.

Local authorities and police believe that Phillips has supporters that help him remain hidden. Pozzi Phillips told Gower that she had no contact with her brother's brother.

Asked why she only speaks now, after almost four years, she replied: “Hoping that, maybe, maybe he'll see this and understand that he can return home, that we are here for him and that it may be good.”

Last year, the mother of children, who presented as a cat, launched an emotional call to anyone who has information about her children to contact the police.

I stand here in front of you, implining you to help me bring my children home,“She said in a video posted on Facebook. “They are just innocent children.”
