Impressive gesture of Chelsea players for Diogo Jota and Andre Silva's families

The players from Chelsea and the club decided to donate some of the bonuses won following the triumph at the World Clubs Championship, the families of the former Liverpool, Diogo Jota, and his brother, Andre Silva. The two footballers died in a tragic road accident in July.
Chelsea prevailed in the final of the World Club Championship in front of PSG, score 3-0 and awarded one of the largest football prizes: almost 115 million dollars.
Chelsea donates 500,000 euros to the family of Diogo Jota
Chelsea received $ 114.6 million for victory at the World Club Championship, and the club allocated 15.5 million from this amount as bonuses for Enzo Maresca's players, who were part of the London lot during the US tour.
According to the publication “The Athletic”, quoted by Sportal.bg, the club and the players decided that an equal part of each bonus should be donated to Jota's family and his brother. Each player receives about $ 500,000 from the total award fund. About 500,000 euros is the amount donated by the Stamford Bridge group to the family of the two deceased brothers.
The new Premier League season opens on Friday, August 15, from 10:00 pm with the Liverpool – Bournemouth match. All the parties of this weekend of English football will be preceded by a moment of silence in memory of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, tragically dead, following a car accident.
In addition to the minute of silence, players will wear black banners on their arms. The clubs will also commemorate them through video installations, which will be designed on the stadium marking table.
