CFR Cluj announced the transfer of Ovidiu Perianu, a central midfielder of 23 years that Gigi Becali did not consider him good enough for FCSB.

Put on the black list by Gigi Becali, Perianu was desired by Ploiești Petrol. The “yellow wolves” had reached a principle agreement with the player, but CFR entered the wire and convinced to make the passage to Cluj-Napoca.

The transfer was officially announced at noon. “Cfrists, meet our new midfielder! Starting today, Ovidiu Perianu will wear our team's shirt!

Perianu entered 3 matches at FCSB this season, before Gigi Becali would put his undesirable label. Very difficult weighed Perianu's performance in the tour of the European “double” with Shkendija, the patron of the champion being extremely irritated the way the central midfielder moved in those about 30 minutes.

CFR Cluj will be the seventh team of Perianu's CV. Promoted to FCSB seniors, Ovidiu was borrowed at FC Botosani, Chindia, U Cluj, Gloria Buzău and Unirea Slobozia. None transferred it permanently, did not impose on FCSB either, and now he will try his luck in Gruia, under the command of Dan Petrescu.

With Perianu we had understood each other for 3 years, with a gradual salary increase, from year to year. Would have had the chance to play. As other players for good money left out and raised their share, oil would have been a very good ramp for him. We have to respect his decision and hope he will do a good job at CFR.
