Jamie Carragher has questioned the logic behind Liverpool's transfers, given that he is ready to spend a lot of money for bringing Alexander Isak, although he just purchased Hugo Ekitike.
Liverpool just purchased the central Hugo Ekitike striker, from Eintracht Frankfurt, with 95 million euros! And yet, he is giving gifts to bring from Newcastle United and Alexander Isak, on the same post. And to an amount that is much higher!
Jamie Carragher: “I don't want Liverpool to spend 150 million pounds on Isak”
For the legend of the Champion of England, Jamie Carragher, now TV analyst, an incomprehensible decision. “Isak would be an excellent purchase, but from the perspective of a fan, I do not want Liverpool to spend 150 million pounds on Isak,” Carragher told The Overlap. “It is strange something that Liverpool buys an attacker and then wants to bring a second, and more expensive. It doesn't seem well thought out.”

Carragher also criticized Isak himself for the moment chosen: “Why didn't he say or his agent from Newcastle a few months ago that he wants to leave? Now everything seems a bit chaotic.”
Jamie Carragher: “80 million pounds are too many for a reserve!”
Many see Ekitike as a versatile offensive player, who can also play on the wing. But Carragher does not agree: “80 million pounds are too many for a reserve! Where should Ekitike minutes to position it? Manager Arne Slot will be forced to place it on the left.”
On the X platform, he made a comparison with other top attackers: “When you have a top striker like Isak, Haaland or Kane it's hard to have a strong reserve. Spurs never had a replacement for Kane, and City had to kick Alvarez because Pep Guardiola could not thank him.”
