The double world champion of Formula 1, Fernando Alonso (44 years old, Pilot at Aston Martin), believes that his protege, Gabriel Bortoleto (20 years old, Kick Sauber), would have been the main subject in the international press if he had a British passport.

The Brazilian made his debut at the beginning of the season and started the hesitant campaign, but gradually entered the rhythm and, with the improvement of Saiber performance, became a real suitor at points. Bortoleto has entered the top 10 in three of the last four races, which helped to break away from the bottom of the standings.

His best race so far was in Hungary, on Sunday, when he finished sixth, immediately behind Alonso, who finished five. And, according to the Spanish, who is the mentor of Bortleto, the Brazilian is the best of the beginners in Formula 1 this year.

Bortoleto was one of the first acquisitions of Alonso – A14 management agency. Together with him, the agency also entered the Bulgarian pilot Nikola Tsolov, who is also among Alonso's protections.

Is the best beginner of this generation. If he were British or something that would have finished on six with Saurber, he would have been on the front page of all newspapers
