Ukrainian espionage has released the plans of the newest nuclear submarine of Russia, recently inaugurated by Putin

The Ukrainian military espionage released the sketch and operational plans of the newest strategic submarine of Russia, Prince Dmitri Pojarski, entered the service last month, giving a possible brutal blow to the Russian army, reports the Ukrainian press.

The Main Directorate of Military Information of Ukraine (Hur) has drained classified documents on the Internet containing detailed information on the newest class of nuclear submarines – from sketches and vulnerabilities to sensitive data about each member of these strategic submarines, undermining a critical modern capacity for Russia's nuclear forces.

According to an analysis of the documentation made by the specialized portal Defense Express, the publication of plans and diagrams that detail the internal structure of the most modern nuclear submarine is especially harmful to the Russian military capacity.

The information is literally worth their weight in gold, the quoted publication said.

The Hur leakage comes less than two weeks since Vladimir Putin personal inaugurated the new submarine at the Sevmash military shipyard, on July 24, near the Nordic Archangelsk port city, at the White Sea.

The submarines of the 955a Borei-a project is a key component of the so-called nuclear triade of the Kremlin. These submarines have 16 launch tubes for intercontinental ballistic rockets R-30 Bulava-30, each of which can carry up to 10 nuclear focoa.

Ukrainian military espionage has released eight pages of information with details about the armament, equipment, sea tests but also sensitive data on the submarine crew.

Many of the documents made public by the Ukrainians seem to be extracted from the larger confidential databases of the Russian Navy. The Hur statement did not specify how this information was obtained.

A detailed content published by Hur shows that the Ukrainian agents have obtained access to all the operational rules and the standard procedures used on board the submarine, including the service stations, the daily routine, the procedures in the alert states, including in the fight, the locations and the capabilities of the sensors on board the ship, as well as the actions to be made by each member of each creation.

A diagram published by Hur shows the sealing compartments of the submarine, the precise locations of the fire extinguishing equipment, the equipment that controls the water ballast and the communications lines. A separate page presents the precise location and function of the necessary hatches and valves to maintain the sealed boat during diving.

Another page contains the signatures of 12 Russian researchers or engineers high in the submarine technology and their names.

The strategic submarine Prince Dmitri Pojarski became part of Division 31 submarines of the northern fleet of the Russian navy on July 24, 2025. Its permanent base is in the Murmansk region.

Bora class represents a substantial modernization of submarines with ballistic missiles in the Delta class from the Soviet era. The Russian Marina operates eight submarines with rockets in the Bora class and five in the Delta class. Together it is the main underwater component of Russia's nuclear triad and compose about 30% of the nuclear discouragement force with intercontinental actuary of the Kremlin, according to Kyiv Post.
