Putin supported the holding of the Youth International Festival in Krasnoyarsk

In 2026, Krasnoyarsk will first take an event of an international scale of 14 thousand guests from 180 countries – World Youth festival. According to the governor, the initiative about his holding in our city was supportedResident of Russia.

It is expected that more than 10 thousand direct participants in the festival will come to Krasnoyarsk, half of them are from other countries, and 4 thousand – volunteers, invited experts, speakers and international journalists. The age of the guests – from 14 to 35 years old.

“The President of Russia entrusted us in the very center of the country by the World Youth Festival. We have a large -scale task – I emphasize that by the number of participants this event It will surpass the Winter Universiade, which took place in Krasnoyarsk six years ago. The experience of 2019 must be rethought and do everything so that the guests of our country are highly appreciated by Russia's openness. We must demonstrate that Krasnoyarsk is a comfortable city, interesting for young people, and the region is one of the leaders in the implementation of youth policy programs, that our universities are modern educational platforms that may be interesting to children from different countries. We have a unique opportunity to tell the whole world about our achievements, share plans and to captivate promising youth, ”said Mikhail Kotyukov.

The preparation has already begun. The day before, the government discussed the details of the upcoming event, including issues of safety, transport, placement and nutrition of participants, the training of volunteers, putting in the order of urban infrastructure and residential buildings of universities.

The festival itself will include educational, business, sports, creative and cultural programs. Delegations are waiting for interactive lectures, speech sessions, panel discussions, round tables with experts, competitions in various sports, talent contests and skill, master classes, exhibitions and excursions. The ceremonies of the opening and closing of the festival are planned to be held at the Platinum Arena.

“I expect that, due to preparations for the festival, part of the work planned for the 400th anniversary of the city will do earlier. This international event will be a good reason to confirm the status of Krasnoyarsk as the capital of Siberian hospitality. And it will make it possible to share the experience of the implementation of youth policy. In this direction, the Krasnoyarsk Territory is included in the top three in the country, ”the head of the region said.

Recall that for the first time the World Youth Festival took place in 2024 in Sochi “Sirius”, his More than 20 thousand people visited. According to the results of the event, Vladimir Putin decided that a festival of a similar scale will be held in Russia once every 6 years.
