The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruţă, claims that the ceiling at Salina Praid can collapse at any time and probably “there will be a lake”, saying that the danger is for salt water to reversing and there is a risk of environmental affect, news.ro.

Radu Miruţă stated on Thursday night at Antena 3, that there were scientific articles on how to prevent floods at Salina Praid, which included everything to be done, but that no one was concerned about this.

“The ceiling will probably collapse and it will probably be a lake. The challenge is not to happen once, because there is like a pot full of water, eyes. As you throw an extra grain, it comes out some water. If that ceiling drops, it will dissolve a large volume of water, which is a saturated solution. It will rain a lot, “said minister Radu Miruţă.

“Nor do the specialists know”

The minister said that the ceiling is constantly thinning as it rains.

“From the bottom it is no longer eroded that down it is a saturated solution. It does not dissolve the salt. But from above it is eroded, that it is raining. We put some tubes on which we put the water. But there it is like a boiler, around the water comes from the slopes. How often it will rain, how much it will rain. Plausible.

The Minister of Economy confirms the estimate made on July 19 by Diana Buzoianu, who said that Salina can no longer be saved.

“From all the discussions we had with the experts, it is not a question if the ceiling would collapse, but when and how fast.

So it is very clear that there can no longer be saved that mine, it can be used. There were many institutions that waited for the disaster to happen. The reality is that I have seen the statements with the beasts. Somehow, the blame was to blame until the beavers were reached and the beavers could not say that “it is not our fault”. But, in short, there should have been intervenes for a long time, “said Diana Buzoianu, according to News.ro.
