George Simion and Marius Lulea redirected millions of lei received from the state as a subsidy in the pocket of a near party, writes Rise Project

On the Gold website writes that the party has voluntarily gave up the state subsidy. In fact, the party received millions of lei from the state, writes Rise Project, which reveals that this money was then redirected to the companies owned by a businessman, a party member, who has connections with both the party president, George Simion and with the first vice-president Marius Lulea.

“The declaration regarding the benevolent renunciation of the subsidy is written boldly on the contact page, under the address of the social headquarters of the Tunari party-located in the first vice-president of Gold,” writes the investigation site.

Rise Project states that at the same address declared its domicile and one of the party associations, which collected a part of the state subsidies.

“This is a businessman from the Republic of Moldova who has taken over a company from the party president, George Simion. The same character is associated and, at the same time, hosted by the first vice-president, Marius Lulea. So he has exactly connections with the people who have pumped his money in companies,” writes Rise Project.

According to the quoted source, “over eight million lei, public money, circulated in the gold loop for the parliamentary elections.”

Who is the businessman

The businessman who came to collect the gold money from the subsidies is called Silviu Tanase, is 39 years old and was born in Chisinau. He is also a member of the Gold Party.

He is associated with Marius Lulea, the first vice-president of Gold, in a real estate company and said that he has his domicile in his house in Tunari, exactly at where the registered office of gold works.

“Through three companies, Tanase received the eight million lei from gold, money that was already settled by the state,” writes Rise Project.

Silviu Tanase also has connections with George Simion: the chief of gold gave up a Moldovan Moldovan businessman. Then, four years, Simion allowed the company to work in the apartment of its parents.

Silviu Tanase comes from a political influenced family in the Republic of Moldova. His father, Constantin Tanase, was a writer, deputy and counselor of former Moldovan president Mircea Snegur.

His brother, Alexandru Tanase, was a deputy, Minister of Justice in two governments (Vlad Filat & Petru Filip) and president of the Constitutional Court for six years (2011-2017).

Gold contracts

“Years later, in April 2024, on the same Silviu Tanase we find him in Bucharest, as initiator and founder of companies that begin to cut treadmill invoices to the party led by Simion.”

A company-Times Digital Media-inscribed it on his behalf, and the other-the word creative media-that of his mother, Alexandra Tanase.

The first company, “in November 2024, just six months after its establishment, issued 16 invoices for gold for parliamentary. The cumulative value of the contracts was 2 million lei, over 90 percent of the turnover for last year.”

The second company issued seven invoices in November 2024 to gold, worth 1 million lei – which represented almost 95 percent of everything that the company received last year, writes Rise Project.

Most invoices, however, were issued by Tanase on the company Time Info Magazin SRL. There were 150 invoices, and the return exceeds 5.2 million lei, ie over 1 million euros.
