The trade unionists talked about their fears related to the uncertain – in their opinion – the future of the mine during a press conference in Bogdance.

– It is said that there will be no reductions here, and the reductions have already begun and hit the weakest, i.e. the cleaning department – said the chairman of the “Remotion” trade union in Bogdance Jarosław Niemiec. In his opinion, the “quiet reduction” covers about 85 Bogdanka employees.

The company announced PAP that all employees of the Order and Social Institute received employment in another company of the LW Bogdanka Capital Group. “The conditions offered to them are stable and more favorable than market standards,” she said.

During the conference, trade unionists reported that they oppose the transfer of obligations carried out by the company's employees to an external company and demanding work to work to people whose employment places are threatened in connection with organizational changes, co -deciding in the process of transforming the company, expect public information regarding changes and the right to strike.

– Our demands have been unchanged for a year. We demand crew security for the period of transformation, we demand security against reduction, because we know that this reduction is and we demand compensation for the damage that was caused to employees and employees of the cleaning department – emphasized the chairman of “Removery”.

The German believes that trade unionists are cheated and ignored. – We see that the company's activities lead to the fact that our future is becoming more and more uncertain – he said. He added that the social side has been in a collective dispute with the employer for several days.

The company informed PAP on Thursday that there is no such dispute. At the same time, she referred to the company's collective labor agreement in force in the mine (ZUZP) and the provisions of the Act on the resolution of collective disputes, which exclude the possibility of initiating such a dispute until the system is terminated by the trade union. “To date, none of the trade unions operating in the company has been spoken by ZUZP, which means that there was no collective dispute,” it was said.

As announced, a regular, regular dialogue is taking place in the company, under which all key social issues are discussed. ” An example was the actions of the management board, which in recent weeks talked twice with representatives of the unions and presented an agreement proposal. “However, it was not accepted,” added the company.

The chairman of the “Removery” admitted that the collective dispute cannot be initiated when the subject of the dispute concerns the provisions of ZUZP. He noted, however, that in this case the requests of the relationship do not apply to ZUZP. – We are in a collective dispute – he emphasized.

On July 16, Lw Bogdanka published preliminary financial results for the first half of this year. The report shows that net sales revenues amounted to PLN 1.5 billion, EBITDA – PLN 408.6 million, EBIT – PLN 310.8 million, and net profit – PLN 264.7 million. Production of commercial coal during the first six months of this year. amounted to 3.87 million tons, and sales – 4.00 million tons.

The LW Bogdanka report for 2024 shows that the company's consolidated revenues from sales amounted to nearly PLN 3.7 billion, which means a decrease of 7 %. compared to the previous year. The net loss amounted to PLN 1.5 billion. The results were influenced by the lower sales price of coal, which was largely compensated by higher sales and updating write -offs due to the loss of fixed assets at over PLN 2.4 billion.

At the end of 2024, 6167 people were employed in the capital group, of which 5225 at LW Bogdanka.

In 2024, Bogdanka sold almost 8.1 million tons of commercial coal, by 21 percent. More compared to the previous year. Carbon production amounted to almost 7.9 million tons, which is an increase of 843 thousand. tons (12 percent more) compared to 2023. The mine reached over 33 % share in the supply of coal to professional energy.

Bogdanka's strategy assumes annual coal production of approx. 9.1 million tons in 2023-2025, approx. 10.1 million tonnes in 2026-2030 and approx. 9.1 million tonnes in the years 2031-2040. By 2030, the mine intends to reach 58 percent. market share.

LW Bogdanka is a producer of hard coal, whose recipients are, among others Industrial companies, including entities operating in the electricity industry in eastern and north-eastern Poland.

Bogdanka is a joint -stock company listed on the WSE since 2009. In 2015, it became part of the Enea Capital Group controlled by the State Treasury with its registered office in Poznań, which has almost 65 percent. Mine shares. (PAP)
