The implementation of a unitary working mode in all pension houses or digitizing the pension houses at national level are among the requests that the unions had at the meeting on Tuesday from the Ministry of Labor, according to a press release of the National Trade Union Bloc.
The president of the NBS, Dumitru Costin, together with a delegation of the National Federation, social solidarity, representing the employees of the pension houses, and with the president of the BNS Youth, Kevin Kirmizig, had an official meeting with the Minister of Labor, Petre Florin Manole.
During the meeting, the unions expressed their dissatisfaction with the extreme stress conditions, the hundreds of thousands of pension files calculated and recalculated manually, the work program extended daily at 12-14 hours, without the payment of overtime, as well as about leave and outstanding days.
“Instead of support, these people receive the amputation of the wage income and eliminate the food allowance. A deeply unfair treatment for those who keep a whole essential system for millions of Romanians,” says the NBS.
The unions also presented a list of claims:
- Implementing a unitary working mode in all pension houses for the correctness of the calculation and reducing the number of files in court;
- Reducing the time of processing, establishing and paying pensions;
- Digitalization of pension houses at national level for efficiency of the activity;
- Establishing accessible rates for issuing certificates from the National Archives, so that the pensioners can obtain their rights;
- Organizing a technical working meeting between union representatives and deputy heads of pension houses, together with experts from the departments of establishing and paying pensions, for centralizing and solving problems in the system.
In the last week, employees from the pension houses have protested several times dissatisfied with the difficult working conditions and cutting the bonuses.
