Cristian Tudor Popescu's question for Ilie Bolojan and the Prime Minister's answer

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan received a question from Cristian Tudor Popescu, on Monday, on B1 TV, on the intention of the authorities to use drones to identify buildings built without authorization or undeclared.

“I saw that the Bolojan government wants to buy drones to oblique – to see – where are the real estate tax evaders, they understand, houses and land through various urban areas, cities and I ask a question, if the government goes or sends some people, possibly those from ANAF, to ask, «What are, those castles without authorization where nothing is paid in the state?», Will they not get the results, that is, AH, but it is few, it is about information, to send the SRI, sir! They built castle or casteloaie without authorization and without paying the tax.

Ilie Bolojan's response for CTP

The prime minister explained that this is, on the one hand, about aspects related to the taxation of the properties, and on the other hand the verification of the buildings raised without a building permit.

“In terms of the correct taxation of a property, we have many cases when citizens do not really declare the built area of the house where they live or the house they have property or dwelling. In this situation, there are cadastral studies made for a good part of the administrative-territorial units in Romania, which are based on some satellite photographs, or if they have to be used, 2-3 centimeters, depends on which satellite system, from how far the picture was made, which is the size of the property ”, said Ilie Bolojan.

He argues that in each commune in which such data were collected “the revenues of the respective commune increased by 20% – 30%”.

“In all the communes-I experienced this, for example, in Bihor county-where these data were taken, without increasing the taxes, the income of the respective commune by 20%-30% increased, due to the two phenomena-the exact dimension of the property, which you could not challenge, that is why it is, to say, to say, Authorization ”, continued the Liberal.

Failure to comply with the law “In fact affects all the inhabitants”

The prime minister said that “the second observation that Mr. Popescu made is related to the fact that, indeed, there are many constructions that do not have a building permit.”

“As long as they are allowed to rise to a locality, how much their owners are allowed not to pay the property tax or not comply with the urban rules, it is not only a minus of collections to the budget of the common common, which then moves to the Government of Romania, but it is an aspect of inequity to their citizens, which is a small case, which is the case in the respective commune. The locality, because constructions are allowed that have no connection with the local urbanism, with the street alignments, with the depth at which they are built, with the height regime, ”explained Prime Minister Bolojan.

Ilie Bolojan warned that “all this non -observance of the law by the authorities there, because it tolerates constructions without authorization, actually affects all the inhabitants.”

“This system solves both problems, but it is right that in a small community almost everyone knows, or those who are in the town hall area, who has authorization and who does not have, but for this there must also be a responsibility of the mayor to put into practice the law,” concluded the prime minister.
