The winner of the auction for the construction of the cultural space of the Suriks-Center in Krasnoyarsk was LLC PSK Kraspromstroy. The day before The capital construction department signed a municipal contract worth 401 million 114 thousand rubles with the company, the city hall said.

Surikov-Center will be built behind the Vasily Surikov museum-estate, next to house number 73 on Markovsky Street. The contractor must build a two -story building with a basement. On the ground floor there will be an exhibition hall of the main exhibition, lobby and rooms of employees, on the second – a terrace, a cafe, a library and a media zaal, a hall, a lecture hall and a workshop, and underground – a lobby, a temporary exposition hall, a closed funds, a printing house, a wardrobe and technical premises.

The developers took the chest Vasily Surikov, where the artist kept his sketches, as the basis of the architectural and artistic solution. For a decorative facade, aluminum cassettes, straight and convex should use, they will alternate in a checkerboard pattern and have a different slope, which will give the effect of colored strokes.

“Under the terms of the contract, the contractor will begin work on August 1. Such a period was chosen specifically, since earlier archaeological excavations went on the territory, and we had to provide for various options for the development of events. Now experts have already completed their research. In July, the contractor will begin to import everything necessary for the construction town to the site, to conduct excavation work, so we expect that an active construction will begin in early August, ”said Sergey Shikunov, head of the department of urban planning.

The company must complete the work in 2027.

The city hall recalled that the unique cultural space will become a gift for the 180th anniversary Vasily Surikova and the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.
