The Russian army accumulated 111 thousand Soldiers in Pokrowsk in the Donetsk region, in a strategic point on the Ukrainian front line – informed the “Kyiv Independent” website, citing the words of Oleksander Syrski, the chief commander of the armed forces of Ukraine.
Hard fights have been going on in the region for months. According to the general, the Ukrainian armed forces, however, maintain the positions held. Some analysts suspect that Putin can plan a new great offensive in this area.

Constant attacks
The concentration of troops in the area of Pokrowska is not accidental. Military experts perceive this city as an important communication node equipped with excellent road and rail connections. Many experts perceive them as a kind of gate to part of the Donbass controlled by the Ukrainian side.
