Terrible news for FCU Craiova! The club of Adrian Mititelu (57 years old) has been submitted! Today, at the Disciplinary Commission, following the 7 files in which it has debts to third parties, on May 28, the team that recently received a license for Liga 2 has been deposited with 14 points for the future season, regardless of the league in which it will be part.
The Oltenians did not pay their debts, and the submission will continue every 15 days with two points for each file. The moment they tighten 12 points on a single folder, FCU Craiova will be excluded and can only be reaffiliated after the debt is paid.

The files entered the role of the FRF Disciplinary Commission on May 28. The club was initially fined, later it had to pay their debts to the former players, coaches and the Dinamo club.
So, even if they were registered in Liga 3, FCU Craiova would debut in the new season with -14 points.
In the meeting of May 28, the Disciplinary Commission of the Romanian Football Federation decided to sanction the FCU Craiova club with penalties in a total value of 37,000 lei. Currently, the financial obligations of the Oltenians exceed 200,000 euros!
Florin Drăgan (second coach), Maurizio Morra (second coach), Gabriel Buta (central defender borrowed from the Lighthouse in season 2023-2024), Gabriele Aldugani (the goalkeeper's coach), Vlad Achim (at the end of June 30) and Aurelian Chițu (contract 2022-2024) have won the FCUs. Dinamo claimed that he registered financial losses following the match that gathered only 4,000 spectators and requested, according to the Romanian Cup Regulation, that FCU Craiova should contribute equally to cost cover. The rule applies exclusively to the matches played in a single leg.
Adrian Mititelu challenged the decision and sued the Bucharest club, but the Bucharest Court rejected the action made by FCU Craiova, maintaining the sanction decided by the Discipline and Ethics Commission.
Setting up a new society is not viable
Even if it will be excluded from all FRF competitions, FCU Craiova will not get rid of debts. The creation of a new society is not a sustainable solution, as FIFA correlates companies based on which clubs operate.
A relevant and recent case is that of Rapid, who “relaunched” with a new company in the back, from the desire to get rid of the old payment obligations.
