Apache landed. At the beginning helicopters will be used for training

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will receive on Tuesday in the 56th Air Base in Latków near Inowrocław the first AH-64D Apache shock helicopters, which will be used by the Polish Army, among others for training. On Monday afternoon, Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that helicopters are already in Poland.

Helicopters will be transferred to Poland as part of contracts concluded in February in the 56th Air Base in Latków near Inowrocław – the United States will transfer the Polish Army to use eight AH -64D Apache helicopters. These helicopters will reach Poland before ordered last year with Apache in the most modern version of the AH-64E version, and allow, among others for the first start of crew training and technical service.

Leasing helicopters is to be the so -called bridge solution – i.e. preventing the situation in which old equipment will be withdrawn from use and the ordered new one will not yet be implemented; Deliveries ordered for the Polish “target” army 96 machines are to start only in 2028.

The first copies of the AH-64D Apache helicopters will go to the sub-ups of the 1st Land Forces Aviation Brigade, stationed, among others in Inowrocław, where the training of flying, technical and security staff will be conducted.

On Monday afternoon, Kosiniak-Kamysz attached a recording with helicopters on the platform x. “AH 64 -D Apache helicopters are already in Poland! We will say more tomorrow at 9.00 in Inowrocław,” he wrote.

Order for the Military Power

As part of the agreement concluded on August 13, 2024, Poland is to receive 96 modern AH-64E APACHE helicopters with a logistics package (including helicopter equipment, airport and Hangar equipment and technical support) and training (specialist training and training equipment for pilots and technicians). The order also includes a comprehensive supply of combat means and spare parts. The delivery was provided in 2028-2032.

Produced by Boeing AH-64E Apache are the basic assault helicopters used since the 1980s by the American army; They have been constantly modernized since their implementation. Their task is primarily to support the army on Earth – e.g. armored forces – by destroying the opponent's ground goals with a wide range of weapons, including the M230 automatic plot and Hellfire air rocket.
