The Israeli army arrested Hamas members in the south of Syria, in a “precise target operation”

Several members of the Palestinian group Hamas were arrested on Thursday, June 12, by the Israeli army in a “Operations with precise target” in the south of Syria.

According to the Syrian observer for human rights (OSDO), one person was killed and seven others were abducted in this attack on Beit Jinn, located south of Damascus, writes Mediafax.

According to the Israeli army, the Hamas members, who were planning to attacks against Israel, “They were transferred to the Israeli territory for additional interrogators.”
Recently, Israel has acknowledged that it has provided weapons to the emerging militia popular forces, led by Yasser Abu Shabab, as part of an operation to army of local groups to counteract the influence of Hamas.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended the secret measure earlier this week, explaining that the security forces have “Activated clans in Gaza that oppose Hamas ”.
He did not mention Abu Shabab, but Israeli officials told CNN that Abu Shabab is part of the program.
Shabab's militia controls the aid routes near the Kerem Shalom crossing point, providing people to protect convoys against robberies, a situation that has worsened since limited aid started to enter Gaza in mid -May, following the blockade imposed by the Israeli army.
