The best paying companies in Poland. Who wins the remuneration ranking?


To check the wages in individual companies, we reviewed the annual financial statements of 88 Polish listed companies, whose capitalization at the end of last year. She exceeded PLN 1 billion, including Allegro, Pepco, Żabka and InPost. Although formally these companies are not Polish, in our country there is the basis for their activities and here most employees employ. We also took into account the results of three overwhelming companies: Grupa Żywiec, Jeronimo Martins Polska and the Lidl Polska Group.
Data analysis shows that The record holder of the payroll is the MCI Management Investment Company. The average salary of employed 19 employees, after turning off the management of the management board, was at MCI last year. In fourth place in the payroll ranking is a company controlled by billionaire Dominika Kulczyk, i.e. Polenergy Investing in the so -called green energy. 490 employees employed in this company receives 23.1 thousand on average every month. Here, however, the pay level is a bit “curved”, because a significant part of the company's operations is located in Sweden, not only in Poland. “About 2/3 of employees in the group are in Sweden, and there the earnings are at a slightly different level than in Poland” – indicated in response to Business Insider's questions. The only company with losses in the top twenty companies with the largest salaries is JSWwhich suffers from low prices of coking coal, key raw material for steel production. There is another side of the coin, i.e. the company paying the least. And here we have a whole galaxy of store chain.
Who offers the lowest salaries?
The least paying company among the stock market giants is the CCC footwear sales network. Here, the average Polish employee received only 4.1 thousand. PLN gross – results from the conversion of data from the financial statements (PLN 289 million spent on wages in the employer's costs, 4.8 thousand employees), i.e. below the minimum salary of 4.2 thousand. PLN (from July PLN 4.3 thousand), but some employees probably do not work full -time, which lowered calculations. In the entire CCC group, the average pay of 1.1 thousand employees last year 4.9 thousand PLN gross. After years of losses, the results of the footwear network have significantly improved and the CCC group earned a purely PLN 957 million, so there is a chance to raise wages in the near future.
The next least paying companies are other commercial networks: Dino Polska (PLN 4.9 thousand gross, +7.8 percent yaws), Lidl Polska Group (PLN 5.4 thousand, +0.9 percent yard), Jeronimo Martins Polska (PLN 5.8 thousand, +12.5 percent yard) and LPP (PLN 6.8 thousand gross).
Companies spending the most on wages
We still looked at who allocates the most funds to pay. And here the leader is our native fuel and energy giant, i.e. the Orlen group. Expenditure on salaries in the group consumed PLN 13.1 billion, i.e. by 7 percent more year on year. With revenues of PLN 295 billion, the share of employee costs at the final prices of Orlen products is not large. Well, but increases can limit the profits that have recently been quite clearly decreased. The Orlen group earned last year Only PLN 1.5 billion, i.e. by 93 percent less yaws. The average employed in a group earns an average of 16.1 thousand. PLN gross and wages increased by 4.7 percent. rdr.
The second largest salary payer is the KGHM group, where it went last year. PLN 9 billion, i.e. by 8.1 percent rdr. more. In the top five there are other state -owned companies: PGE and PZU, but also one private – Asseco Poland group. Jeronimo Martins Polska, the owner of Biedronka, spends the most on the post -magazine companies. These are not high wages, but employment exceeds 81 thousand. people.
