Three people died, and another 34 were injured, on Saturday night towards Sunday, in a hospital in northern Germany, in Hamburg, where a salon first caught fire, according to a provisional balance of firefighters, AFP reports, according to News.ro.

The fire broke out near the midnight on Saturday to Sunday, in a salon of the Marienkenhaus Hospital Section and threatened to expand rapidly on the first floor on the outside facade, a fireman spokesman, Lorenz Hartmann announced.

“Several old and low mobility were evacuated,” he announced.

Finally, “firefighters quickly controlled the fire and prevented the flames from spreading to other patients,” the fireman spokesman announced.

The causes of the fire have not yet been established.
