“We discussed diplomatic efforts – ours and our partners. Russia ignores all global appeals for suspension of weapons and continues to kill. In addition, the Russians have not been able to present the so -called “memorandum” for over a week, which they promised to prepare immediately after replacing 1000 out of 1000. Ukraine did not receive any documents from them. Türkiye did not receive them either. In order for the meeting to make sense, we must understand his agenda and prepare for conversations properly. Unfortunately, Russia does everything in her power to make the next meeting fruitless” – said the president in a telegram.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian side appreciates cooperation with Turkey so that diplomacy would work.
“We are grateful for the clear position of Turkey – consistent and full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine” – emphasized the president.
The president thanked Turkey and President Erdogan for supporting efforts for a fair and lasting peace. In particular, for help in organizing a meeting that led to the release of a thousand Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity.

“The return of all Ukrainians detained by Russia is one of our most important priorities” – he noted.
