– How do you feel after two consecutive titles with the Lighthouse?
– The feeling never changes, no matter how many championships you take, it is a unique feeling, happiness and fulfillment.

– What is the secret of this team's exception season?
– First, continuity, because not many players have changed last year. Secondly, a lot of work and confidence. And the concept that is here is an exceptional one, the girls felt and I looked better now.

– Do you think the Lighthouse now has more chances in the Champions League?
– We want very much, it is a higher level there, we want to have a very long journey. Unfortunately, last season I was not lucky in lots, but I think so I looked very good, I brought a lot to the stadium, I showed a good football. We hope that in the next season they will look more, in the Champions League and Europe Cup.

– How did you manage to do it on the champion's lighthouse?
– Behind the results is a very good strategy. Mr. Hagi wanted very much, that when FRF has forced clubs to have a female team, to raise standards, to make a good quality football.

– Is Mr. Hagi involved in the team?
– He gets involved in everything the Lighthouse means, he is definitely here.

Raluca Sârghe-Simes, about the beginnings in football

– Where do you have your passion for football? How did you take the first steps in this sport?
– When I started football, the female was not so developed. I was doing athletics, and after each training I was playing football. Then, some players left in a setting organized in Cluj and that's how I started.

– And the coach's career? How did it start?
– When I was playing football, I was thinking about what I want to do after. I prepared myself in this sense, I took a few licenses, I was trying to train some juniors, and those who saw me said they were made to be a coach.

– Do you think it's hard to be a footballer or coach in Romania?
– I don't think it would be difficult, if there was more openness to people. We see that a woman can do things in the field, not just at home. If we had this support … We, here, at the club, are lucky and we are supported, but in other cities this could happen.

– Do you think a woman makes more sacrifices for football than a man?
– Not necessarily, it depends on what situation you are. When you have a child, you have to do more. A man coach can work, and the child stays with his mother at home, while, when a coach is a woman, he has to stay far from the child.

Raluca Sârghe-Simes: “In Cluj I grew up and developed”

– When you play in Cluj you took 8 championships. Do you think you can take it there on the Lighthouse?
“I want that.” I don't think the number says something, the consistency and the way you win say more. Then there was something else, football was not so developed, there were not so many teams, the value of the teams was not too high. Now the level is another, it is more developed, the federation is more involved.

– What do you feel when the Lighthouse defeats U Cluj, after so many years spent there?
– I have always been a professional, even though I left a place of “good day” and respect, any opponent I had in front of me. In Cluj I grew up and developed, there I started in football. It is a feeling of pride, because I bring the joy I brought to Cluj and Constanța. We wanted to win without defeat, we wanted to score over 100 goals, they were fulfilled, only the cup remains.

– What advice would you give to a girl who wants to get on football?
– Now there are many chances. You do not have to wait for some age, I started later, now they have the chance to start earlier. We try to form some groups, because it is very important to have a base. If you have passion and desire, you can play anywhere.
