Fire to a church in Arad, after a lightning bolt hit the tower

A violent fire included the tower of a church in Arad, after it was hit by lightning during the night.

The bad weather is ravaging all over, many localities being under orange or yellow storm code.
In the locality of Luguzau in Arad county, the firefighters were requested during the night on Friday, May 23/24, to intervene to extinguish a fire that broke out at the village church after a lightning bolt hit its tower.
When they arrived at the scene, the fire manifested itself at the level of the church tower, with smoke releases, with the risk of expanding to the entire construction.
“For the mission, forces and means from the Detachment Detachment Ineu with two extinguishing vehicles, a special intervention and rescue special vehicle and a SMURD ambulance were allocated.” According to a statement of ISU Arad.
“The intervention of the firefighters allowed the localization and extinguishing of the fire within the limits found, the construction being thus protected. Fortunately, no victims were recorded. The probable cause of the fire was established as lightning”, they sent the firefighters.
