Little to dismiss the commander of the Ruse Army Land Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin at the commander of the Ruse Army's ground forces, Oleg Sonyukov, according to a decree issued by Kremlin on Thursday, before the direct negotiations with Ukrainians in Istanbul, AFP reports.
Oleg Salyukov was appointed deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, an important advisory body that is constantly around President Vladimir Putin, and is thus “released by his current duties,” the decree shows.
The secretary of this Security Council is the former Minister of Defense Sergei Șoigu, who was appointed to this position last year.
After his replacement at the ministry with a professional economist, Andrei Belousov, several generals or defense officials were arrested on the charges of corruption.
However, the Kremlin has denied any treatment campaign, claiming that it is a classic anti -corruption, the domain of Russian defense being affected by scandals for several years.
General Oleg Salyukov was the chief commander of the Russian Land Forces in 2014.
He supervised the military intervention in the Syria war and the large -scale offensive triggered against Ukraine. Before that, he held the position of deputy chief of staff for four years.
Last week, Salyukov ordered the Great Military Parade on May 9 in the Red Square in Moscow, which marked 80 years since the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany.
