According to the latest data, KDPW BM mBank lost its leadership in terms of the number of investment accounts. The historical change on the Polish brokerage market took place thanks to the XTB offensive, which took first place for the first time.

According to new data of the National Depository of Securities (KDPW), the number of brokerage accounts at the end of April was 2 109 786. This means that in the last month 33,409 arrived. As many as 25,366 new investment accounts were opened in April in XTB. Thanks to this, the broker became a new leader among brokerage houses in terms of the number of bills kept, dethroning BM mBank, which was on 15 years (earlier as BRE Bank).
KDPW statistics show that at the end of April XTB was conducted by 491 375 bills, while BM mBank 482 439 accounts, which means that for a month 2,933 bills came to the former leader. In third place was BM Pekao from 204 468 bills and an increase of 399 pieces per month. Among the brokers leading over 100,000 The bills were still ING BM, DM BOŚ, BM PKO BP and Santander BM.
“This historical result is only a confirmation that the path we chose is correct and we are going in the right direction. However, I am convinced that this is only the beginning and Poles will more and more often take matters of their financial future in their own hands,” comments Omar Arnaout, president of the board of XTB.
“This is certainly an important milestone in the history of our company. We are consistently investing in technological, product and educational campaigns. For years, we have been consistently disencharging the world of finance not only for Poles, but also for other European markets and in the Middle East or Latin American region” – he adds.
