According to Dan Șucu's maneufest message transmitted through the employer Confederation “Concordia”, whose president is, George Simion, the leader of the Gold Party (the Alliance for the Union of Romanians) and candidate for the Presidency of Romania, answered directly to the owner of Rapid clubs and Genoa through a letter posted on the official website.

Șucu appealed to the two candidates left in the fight for Cotroceni, Nicușor Dan (independent candidate) and George Simion (gold), requesting that they do not increase the taxes and not to deviate from the “European and Atlantic Road of Romania”. “We need a free economy, not political masters,” said the owner of the Rapid, who issued a large statement on behalf of the Confederation he leads. Dan Șucu, a firm message for Nicușor Dan and George Simion, before tour 2 of the presidential elections: “We will take liability without hesitation”

George Simion's response for Dan Șucu, after the light letter of the patron of the Rapid: “Romania will not deviate from its European and Atlantic course”

Mr. Dan Șucu, dialogue is the essence of democracy – and we are prepared for him.

I read carefully the manifesto launched by Concordia Confederation and you. I consider this legitimate and welcome approach in the context of a crossroads for the Romanian society and economy.

As a future president of Romania, I want to say clearly: Romania will not deviate from its European and Atlantic path. Our belonging to the European Union and the strategic partnership with the United States represent firm stability and security landmarks, which we will strengthen, not challenge.

In recent days, we have had direct meetings with representatives of the diplomatic and economic environment in the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Poland. I sent them the same message: Romania remains a predictable partner, employed in a sustainable Western construction, with respect for the commitments made.

As for the economic environment, we support an authentic, transparent and competitive market economy, in which the rules are clear for all and in which the private initiative is encouraged, not penalized.

We are for fiscal stability, for a healthy entrepreneurial environment, for solid and foreign investments – and for an institutional framework to guarantee economic freedom, the rule of law and functional democracy.

Respect for the law, property and freedom of expression are for new fundamental principles. As well as the open dialogue with all the representative organizations of the society – including those in the business environment. In this spirit, I address you the sincere invitation to have a direct discussion in the next period.

I want to deepen these topics in a meeting, to discuss concretely and constructively about the necessary reform directions and how the presidential institution can be a real guarantor of stability and a favorable economic climate. We are open to any form of honest and professional dialogue. Because, in essence, this is the key to an authentic democracy.

With great consideration,
George Simion,
Candidate for the Presidency of Romania
