I washed the flour and fry: I get 6 cutlets from Seytan in an hour – tastier than usual

Who would have thought that from ordinary flour you can make something really tasty and satisfying. One of these dishes is cutlets without meat minced meat. The so -called Seytan is taken for their basis – a product with an interesting texture and a rich taste. And if earlier only vegans tried it, now this recipe deserves the attention of all the connoisseurs of the unusual.

The main thing is to prepare it correctly:

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 500 g
  • Drinking water – 250 ml
  • Vegetable broth – 1 liter
  • Soy sauce – 2 tbsp.
  • Smoked paprika – 1 tsp.
  • Garlic powder – 1 tsp.
  • Ground ginger – 0.5 tsp
  • Salt, pepper – to taste
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Stages of cooking

1. Knead the dough from flour and water, and then let it rest for 30 minutes. Rinse under running water until the mass becomes transparent.

2. In vegetable broth, add soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, ginger, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.

3. Boil the gluten in boiling broth with spices for about 40 minutes. Cool Seatan and pass it through a meat grinder.

4. Finely cut the onion and slightly fry in vegetable oil, and then mix it with chopped Seytan.

5. If necessary, add a little broth in which Seytan is cooked so that the mass is more juicy.

6. Form cutlets, roll them in panning crackers and fry them in vegetable oil on both sides until golden crust.

Flour, water and spices – nothing superfluous, but the result is a dish that will surprise even those who are skeptical of plant cuisine. Bon appetit!
