A fifth suspect in the case of the helmet from Coțofenești was arrested in the Netherlands

The fifth suspect in the theft of the three Dacian bracelets and the Golden Chain in Coţofeneşti, who are part of the national heritage of Romania, was arrested on Tuesday morning, in his home in Alkmaar, announces the Dutch police, News.ro reports.
This is a 36 -year -old man, Dutch police said. According to them, the art treasures stolen in January from the Drents Museum have not yet been found.
According to RTV Drente television, this fifth suspect arrested is not the person seen in the images of an Assen hardware store.
The police found the man in Alkmaar after a detective investigation, and he will be interrogated in relation to his involvement in the theft of Romanian treasury objects.
According to the quoted source, the police carried out a search at the man's home, after which they were confiscated, to be examined, several digital data media.
Prosecutors, optimists that will find treasury pieces
The investigation on the theft of the helmet from Coţofeneşti and three Dacian gold bracelets is still in full swing, according to the police.
“Priority and emphasis are on the pursuit of stolen masterpieces,” the police mention in a press release.
Dorderik Greive, chief officer of the Northern Prosecutor's Office, said it is expected that part or all the Romanian treasures stolen from the Drents Museum in Assen will be found.
“We expect to find it,” said it, referring to the helmet from Coţofeneşti.
“There is still enough information with which we can work. People (suspects, no) are still in arrest and are interrogated. We are still working hard on it,” he said in the show “Cassata” from Radio Drenthe.
A special search team made up of dozens of people is ready to recover the pieces, according to Greive, who said that “we have the situation under control. We really expect to find out where the helmet is.”
The golden helmet from Coţofeneşti and three Dacian gold bracelets from Sarmizegetusa Regia were stolen on the night of January 24 to 25 from the Drents Museum, Assen, the Netherlands. Two men and a woman from Heerhugowaard were arrested a few days after the robbery. Later, the police detained a fourth suspect, also from Heerhugowaard. The woman (40 years old) was released last week, but remains suspicious of involvement in this case. The three men (26, 34 and 36 years old) are still under arrest and must be presented in court on May 9, for the first public hearing.
