The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) on April 12, 1947 wrote that in 1947 it turned 70 from the day when gold mining began in the territory of the Jewish Autonomous Region.
The golden -bearing area of the Small Hingan is occupied by the rivers basins: Sutars, Bijan, Dichun, Pompeevka and the upper reaches of the Big Bira. Behind the slightly exceptions, this area of continuous rocks: the gold -bearing layer seems to be on a powerful stone pillow.

On April 12, 1964, the Birobidzhan Zvezda newspaper told readers that after the construction of the Palace of Culture in Birobidzhan, in the Builder club, which used to be a monopolist of all kinds of mass youth events, there were much less different events. Earlier, the Club “Stroitel” held shows of amateur performances, thematic evenings, which were devoted to the promotion of advanced experience, oral magazines – an interesting form for familiarizing literature from different fields of science and technology. In the club hall, meetings, lectures, honoring leaders of production, meetings with labor veterans were held.
In the same newspaper, the article “For economic calculation” posted information that economic study was organized in agricultural vehicles “Testament Ilyich”. Over 120 people are engaged in primary economic schools. In the classroom, practical proposals are made that contribute to the increase in profitability of the economy. “Now there is preparations for the implementation in all industries in the production of economic calculation. This issue was dedicated the recently in Valdheim Theoretical Conference.”

In the reference and information publication “Birobidzhana Street: according to the documents of the State Archive of the EAO” (0+), information was posted that by the decision of the Birobidzhan City Executive Committee dated April 12, 1988 No. 133, the Tradovaya Street, which was formed in 1953, was renamed Miller Street (Meler).
Help: Boris (Buzi) Miller is a Jewish writer. After the end of the seven -year period, he worked at the factory in Kharkov. In 1932 he became a student of the literary department of the Kharkov Pedagogical Institute, and a year later he transferred to the Moscow Pedagogical Institute named after V.I. Lenin. After graduation, he was sent to the Far East. From this moment on, the writer's life was firmly intertwined with a Jewish autonomous region. Starting his career as a school teacher, Buzi Miller went to the editor of the regional newspaper Birobidzhaner Stern (12+). In 1940, Miller was admitted to the Union of Writers of the USSR. For his merits, he was awarded the title of “Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR” and awarded the Order of “Badge of Honor”. For a long time he headed the regional literary association.
