A component made in India was first identified in a Russian army's army army system, in the context in which the Moscow profile industry has gradually eliminated almost all parts made in America, the Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR) announced on Monday, according to The Kyiv Independent.
“For the first time, a component manufactured in India-a clock buffer from Aura Semiconductor-was found in a Russian weapon,” Hur said, in a post on the Telegram Messenger application.
The discovery came in the context in which Hur has documented almost 200 new components identified in six types of Russian weapons.
These include Antena CRP from Dona Shahed (Kamikaze Drone) modified by Russia, KN-21 ballistic missile in North Korea, the X-47 Kinjal missile computer and several recognition and attack drones-including Supercam S350, Gerbera and Zala.
The Shahed-136 Drone of Iranian conception, known as Geran-2 when produced in Russia, has been widely used by Moscow for Kamikaze missions targeting Ukrainian cities, energy infrastructure and Ukrainian positions on the front line.
According to Ukrainian military espionage, only two American chips remained in the latest CRP antenna model of Geran-2, indicating Russia's orientation to components in countries that do not apply sanctions.
In the previous variants of the drone, the antennas labeled in Chinese contained 13 of the 15 components manufactured by Chinese companies, including key signal processing from the Beijing Microelectronic Technology Institute.
For many years, Russia has been the main weapon provider of India. However, the imposition of international sanctions has forced India to diversify their purchases in the defense sector and to deepen their links with Western weapons.
While India publicly urged a diplomatic resolution of the Ukraine war, it also continued to extend trade with Moscow.
Russia's strongest economic and military partner remains China, both countries carrying out common exercises along with allies such as Belarus and Iran. Beijing has also become one of the main sources of Russia of double -use products that feed the Russian armament industry, notes the Kiev publication.
