In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court sentenced the former head of the inter -municipal police department “Kuraginsky”. This was reported in the prosecutor's office of the region.
According to the supervisory authority, in the period from October 2022 to March 2023, the man signed fictitious acts of acceptance of work on the overhaul of the duty unit in the village of Karatuzskoye, worth 1.8 million rubles, although the contractor did not fully fulfill them. After that, he ordered to fully pay for the work, which caused damage to the budget by 600 thousand rubles and reduced the level of anti -terrorist security of the object.
However, he did not know that the contracts with high cost undergoes examination and the internal security service revealed deficiency.
The defendant did not admit the guilt, explained that he did not notice the shortcomings due to the distance of the object from the place of its deployment:
“I just left the sick leave and somehow missed the repair issues of the duty unit, I trusted subordinates,” he said, and then refused to answer the investigator’s questions, taking advantage of Art. 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
The court took into account the position of the prosecutor and sentenced the guilty to 3.5 years of conditional imprisonment with a trial period of 4 years and a ban on holding positions in the internal affairs bodies for 2 years.
