In the village of Brazhno, a case was opened due to sky-high utility tariffs (video)

In the Kansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case of fraud on an especially large scale was opened when providing communal services in the village of Brazhno. This was reported by regional SK and the prosecutor's office.

According to departments, from October 2024 to July 2025, the company systematically submitted unreliable data on expenses to the Ministry of Tariff Policy for transportation and cleaning of wastewater.

In fact, the water was not exported to treatment facilities in the Rybinsk district, but merged into a ravine in the village. At the same time, residents continued to issue accounts for unproven services. The total damage exceeded 1.5 million rubles. More than 165 villagers, as well as local entrepreneurs, suffered.

In addition, as the audit showed, consumers were charged a fee for hot water, even if there were no engineering networks in the house to provide services.

Earlier, the media reported that the inhabitants of the village were faced with an abnormal increase in water tariffs after changing the service provider in the fall of 2024. Then, instead of the CRCC, resource -supplying companies became Kraseko and Public Utilities. Price one cubic meter of cold water reached 1100 rubleswhich led to accounts of 40-60 thousand rubles for families.

“Water problems are just critical in the village. The bulk of the residents are pensioners. And you can’t even imagine what people tell. A person of hands and legs will wash in a bucket or floor heaps-and does not pour this water, so that later it will drain it into the toilet. How to live? ” – Dissatisfied villagers are divided.

OFAS recognized the increase in tariffs illegal. Currently, the prosecutor's office requires a complete return of illegally accrued funds to residents of the village.
