In an interview given exclusively to the Sports Gazette, Steven Nsimba (29 years) talks about the successful transfer in Romania, at Craiova University, about plans and objectives and the great dream of the French in Superliga
Steven Nsimba signed in July, and in August offered a real show, demonstrating his footballer, awarding his “football player” prize in the project of the Sports Gazette.
Six goals and a decisive pass represent the French balance in the Craiova University T -shirt. He managed a “double” with CFR Cluj (3-2), another one with Csíkszereda (2-1), then also scored against Sparta Trnava and Istanbul Basakşehir.
Steven Nsimba: “Everyone wants to beat us! But we have to continue the same”
– Steven, congratulations, you were chosen the player of August in Romania! How are you feeling?
– Happy, it's a pleasant feeling. I started the season very well and I am very happy.
– You managed to win at just one point in front of your colleague, Stefan Baiaram.
– Oh, very good! The atmosphere is very good on the team. I started this season well. Baiaram also scored a lot. He is a good player, besides that he is a midfielder. At the same time, that makes me the best in the team.
– In the last month you managed to score six times. What is your favorite goal?
– First! He gave me a very good condition for this league. It made me feel good mentally, mentally. On the psychic side makes you feel good.
– Individual prizes matter a lot to you? Or is the team performance more important?
– The team's performance is the one that matters. With the team you arrive in Conference League and play in the Cup, to fight the championship. I'm focused on this.
– Mirel Rădoi was declared the coach of the month. Follow the same scenario in September?
– Why not?! As I said, the season started well and we have to continue the same. It will be difficult and because I have not lost so far. Everyone wants to beat us! But we have to continue the same.
“I never played in front of 30,000 people! It's crazy …”
– So far you have only played in France, which was your first reaction when you heard about the offer in Romania and what made you accept it?
– I was surprised because I was in the 3rd Division! I couldn't miss because I had the opportunity to get to Conference League. I accepted as soon as possible.
– What did you know about Romania before you came here?
– I knew Steaua București is a big club because one of my friends, Jayson Papeau, played here. So yes, I knew a few things. I saw a few matches.
– How was the adaptation for you?
– It was quite difficult because the defenders are very good. But as I said, I'm getting better.
– Have you played so far in an atmosphere like the one in Craiova?
– I never played in front of 30,000 people! Never! It's crazy … the moment they shouted and the name was shaking a little.
– Are you qualified in the Conference League groups, can it be a historical moment for Craiova?
– It can be something historical! We need to be focused and continue. Let's make history.
“I started learning Romanian! I'm starting to explore the city a little”
– Who has helped you the most since you came to Craiova? Who gave you confidence?
– The coach helped me a lot. Also, my roommate, Anzor. Houri also knows French. I have already created a connection and helped me.
– How do you spend your free time in Craiova? What are you doing?
– I started learning Romanian! I'm starting to explore the city a little.

– We take them step by step and we have to focus. Even if you play well and have a good position, you have to be focused.
“Continue to be with us so far and we will get the title!”
– What are the differences you have noticed between football in France and the one in Romania?
– A few on the offensive side, there is much more space and there are differences in mentality.
– What message do you have for those who underestimate the Romanian championship?
– Don't think about it anymore because it's a very good league. I will continue to show that.
– What is your dream in football?
– I like to say that the limit is the sky. Even though I am almost 30 years old, I feel good with my body, my mind. Nothing can stop me now!
– Do you have a message for Craiova fans?
– Continue to be with us as before and we will get the title!

Craiova University and Steven Nsimba have signed a contract valid for two years! The 29 -year -old French striker came to Romania after the experience of Aubagne, a band for which he scored 12 goals in 32 appearances in National.
